How to: Groom Men’s Eyebrows in 4 Steps

Eyebrow Grooming Tweezers

You’re not alone if you’ve googled ‘how to groom men’s eyebrows’ or ‘men’s eyebrows tips’.

Good eyebrows don’t necessarily have to be achieved through expensive salon services. Having well-groomed eyebrows can help you feel more confident in your appearance. When they become overgrown and a tad bushy, male eyebrows can appear somewhat distracting and may hold you back from feeling your very best.

For men especially, eyebrows add definition to the eyes and frame the face where makeup isn’t as commonly used. It’s important to have a solid male grooming routine . It’s also an excuse to treat this time as selfcare so men everywhere, listen up: here are four men’s eyebrows tips to groom and shape eyebrows for men.

STEP 1: Proportions and Combing

Before you think about touching your eyebrows, it’s best to find their natural proportions to give you a better understanding of where to pluck and tidy. Using the Define It Brow Pencil as a measurement, place the pencil vertically along the outer edge of your nose (toward your forehead) to see where your eyebrow is meant to begin. Then repeat by placing the pencil at the tip of your nose to the arch of your eyebrows to determine your natural arch. Finally, hold pencil to the tail end of your eyebrows from in between your nostrils. Once you’ve discovered these proportions, use the spoolie brush at the end of the Define It Brow Pencil to comb through your eyebrows in the direction of the hair.

STEP 2: Shaping and grooming

If you’ve watched tutorials on how to pluck men’s eyebrows, this step won’t be such a surprise. Part of the male grooming routine requires tweezers. After combing your eyebrows, you should see more of a shape to follow and which pesky hairs need plucking. Using our Tweezers, pluck away any stray hairs on the bridge of the noseunder the arch and at the tail endRemember to always pluck from the bottom of the eyebrows and never the top. A pro tip from us: always pluck in the direction the hair grows to avoid irritation and redness.

STEP 3: Fill in

Eyebrows aren’t supposed to twins, they’re more like brothers so if they don’t match exactly, don’t worry. If you feel you’ve plucked a little too much from one side or have light hair, try filling in your brows to add definition. Use the Define It Brow Pencil lightly fill in the areas that appear a little sparse. Use short, hair-like strokes for natural fullness and precision.

STEP 4: Natural Finish for your Eyebrows

Once you’re happy with how your eyebrows look, why not set them in place using Brow Gel? This will help achieve an effortlessnatural finish and flexible hold. If you’re totally new to the male eyebrow grooming routine, shop our tools below to get started.
