DO Wipe the brush clean before you first apply a brand new mascara. That way you get a feel for the brush and how much to load up for maximum effect minimum flick back!
DON'T Rely on one mascara to do it all! Consider mascara wardrobing - using more then one mascara - to create your perfect look or to suit your lash needs. For instance if you have short, sparse lashes and crave length and volume begin with a lengthening formula and slim brush design to extend lashes followed by a curved or bigger brush combined with a thickening formula to add volume to upper lashes.
DO Curl your lashes before applying mascara to maximise the effect....

“I love catching up with my girlfriends over Champagne at The Firehouse on Chiltern Street in London. Talking through the minutiae of our lives over Champagne is certainly cheaper then therapy."

From the catwalks of London to Paris there were a myriad of make-up looks to inspire and ignite our imaginations.
Following on from previous seasons there was a firm focus on eyes with key MUA’s like Val Garland, Pat McGrath and Tom Pecheaux letting loose with liner and lashings of mascara to create a multitude of looks.
At Fendi the models lids served as a canvas as make-up artist Peter Phillips daubed on inky black liner in erratic short, sharp strokes to create a surprisingly pretty effect.
Whilst Sebastian Bieniek for Jacquemus sketched a new face on to the models. One way to make sure the wings of your liner always even! Why...
Once again, Kelly Osbourne worked the Red Carpet like a pro at the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The television presenter and fashion it-girl stunned audiences with a gorgeous cat eye by her go-to makeup artist, Denika Bedrossian.
Denika also worked with SAG nominee, Chelsea Peretti to create her old Hollywood look.
“To complement Kelly’s modern day Audrey Hepburn theme we decided to play up her eyes for a clean and elegant look. Her winged cat eye, which I created using Eyeko’s Skinny Liquid Liner, worked well to accentuate Kelly’s fluttery eyes.”

So much has been made of day to night dressing and desk to disco make up that nowadays surely most of us can transition from work wear to cocktail attire with ease. Add a cat eye, statement cuff, killer heels and you’re good to go.
As Alexa Chung pointed out recently it’s night to day that proves more of a challenge when dressing then day to night. With the runway shows pushing a 70’s rock n roll aesthetic on us for the past two seasons channelling everything from Woodstock to Studio 54 it’s time to embrace Penny Lane from Almost Famous as your spirit guide.
Fashion wise this is as easy as adding a fake fur gilet and skinny...
Explaining the look Liz said, "Tonight I wanted to go for a soft pretty eye with bambi lashes to complement. It was all about fresh glowing skin, defined eyes and a strong lip. Alexa is such a natural beauty, with those gorgeous eyes, I decided on a bright lip to work with the dress, a real pillarbox red to work with that fabulous silver dress. We decided on a softer eye than normal - we know and love the Alexa kitten flick, but wanted to do something a little different."

“Both Jess and I share a love for iconic 60’s and 70’s aesthetics and beatnik pin-ups like Francoise Hardy, Anna Karina, Anita Pallenberg and Marianne Faithful. Jess shared her new scarf collection Rockins with us which features eyes, frets,...
