MAKING SMOKEY EYES

Always wanted to create the perfect smokey eye? Here’s how in five easy steps.

Nothing is easier to use then Me & My Shadow for a multitude of eye looks and it was made for smokey eyes!

"I love Me & My Shadow because it's an all-in-one product that you can travel with. This is an easy-to-use crayon with a brush to blend.”
Alexa Chung

Draw Taupe across the lid and pat in with fingers then add Chocolate into the crease mid way across your upper lid in a crescent shape to elongate and make eyes appear bigger. Blend the two shades together using the brush on the other end or just smudge with fingers - yes it’s that easy! To frame your...

NIGHT TO DAY KNOW-HOW

So much has been made of day to night dressing and desk to disco make up that nowadays surely most of us can transition from work wear to cocktail attire with ease.  Add a cat eye, statement cuff, killer heels and you’re good to go.

As Alexa Chung pointed out recently it’s night to day that proves more of a challenge when dressing then day to night. With the runway shows pushing a 70’s rock n roll aesthetic on us for the past two seasons channelling everything from Woodstock to Studio 54 it’s time to embrace Penny Lane from Almost Famous as your spirit guide.

Fashion wise this is as easy as adding a fake fur gilet and skinny...

CELEBRITY MAKEUP ARTIST LIZ PUGH SHARES ALEXA CHUNG’S BEHIND THE SCENES SECRETS

Explaining the look Liz said, "Tonight I wanted to go for a soft pretty eye with bambi lashes to complement. It was all about fresh glowing skin, defined eyes and a strong lip. Alexa is such a natural beauty, with those gorgeous eyes, I decided on a bright lip to work with the dress, a real pillarbox red to work with that fabulous silver dress. We decided on a softer eye than normal - we know and love the Alexa kitten flick, but wanted to do something a little different."

GET THE LOOK from Liz Pugh:

To start I gave the skin a glow using a mix of serums and moisturisers and added a little concealer where it was needed to even out the...

ROCKINS FOR EYEKO

We’ve partnered with Rockins, the newly launched brand of 1920’s inspired bias cut scarves, and classic handkerchiefs with a modern yet quintessentially British edge.

Rockins for Eyeko was born of a meeting of minds, when Tim Rockins, a London based artist, illustrator, musician and DJ, created a monochrome design, paying homage to both the ‘Alexa’ eye and Eyeko shield; Eyeko’s global trademarks.

“Both Jess and I share a love for iconic 60’s and 70’s aesthetics and beatnik pin-ups like Francoise Hardy, Anna Karina, Anita Pallenberg and Marianne Faithful. Jess shared her new scarf collection Rockins with us which features eyes, frets,...

THE NO MAKEUP MAKEUP LOOK

Judging by the S/S15 cat walk shows in NY this week our make-up bags are going to be empty next summer save for a stick of salve, a bit of brow gel and a lash curler!

We spied the return of everything 90’s last season interpreted in several ways by the major fashion houses either as a nod to mod or full on grunge. We love the dewy skin and bright eyed looks the models sported from Prabal Gurung to Versus Versace but how easy is it to create when you’re not a model and you don’t have Pat McGrath on speed dial?

BROW LOVE

Our bold brow obsession shows no sign of abating and luckily there’s a plethora of brow boosting products to...

GRACE RESORT NYC

We were delighted to team up with GRACE again after the success of the London A/W14 show for the resort collection showcasing a range of LBD’s AND a couple of tuxedos for good measure this time across the pond in New York.

The scene was set on the rooftop of the Nomad Hotel where top New York make-up artist Deanna Melluso created an up town girl downtown look that was slightly undone and worn in for good measure.

Using Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner mixed with Eyeko Making Eyes Automatic Gel Eyeliner Pitch Black rimmed around the eyes for a sooty stare. Playing with the texture of both products allowed Deanna to work the liners into...
